next new project

These are hexagons, using the double crochet stitch.  I'm following a traditional quilt pattern, grandma's country garden.  It will feature sixteen flowers, with cornmeal centers, surrounded by six petals done in carrot.  The flowers will rest in a field of light sage.  All told, it will be hundreds of hexagons, each measures four and a half inches on the short~width and about five point to point.  The assembled afghan will be about six foot squared, then with trim {finished off}, it should be good for a nice sized bed, eh?

  1. Lookin' good so far! Can't wait to see the finished piece. Are you familiar with etsy.com? You should have a shop there.
